The Cross
The cross in our church has a longer left arm than the right. There are two symbolic reasons for this:
- The longer arm points to the pulpit, symbolising the importance of God's word.
- In the Middle East culture, the left hand is considered 'unclean'. The cross symbolises Christ's dying for the unclean and the worst in society.

Printed paper bags are available in the church foyer with a list of foodstuffs on them. The idea is to buy the items listed, place them in the bag and return them to the church. This is in addition to our own feeding scheme and could be taken on as a project by Cell Groups. The packets are given to Mahube Healing Centre run by the Methodist Inner City Mission of Pretoria, and they will distribute them. |
