VALLEY TITHING CONTRIBUTIONS
It has been the policy at Valley for a number of years now, to tithe 10% of our income to various funds and organizations to which you, the congregation, contribute. Donations are also forwarded to the Bible Society, Youth for Christ, Tape Aid for the Blind amongst others.
A brief description of some of the funds are as follows:
1. Madibeng Mission. For the establishment of a church at Hartebeespoort Dam. This is the 3rd year that Valley has contributed to this mission. The Harties Methodist Society was officially opened during February 2008.
2 Pelenomi Fund. The purpose is church growth. A society who can't afford a Youth Pastor or Bible Women necessary for it's growth, can apply for assistance from this fund.
3. Building Grants. To assist a society in the building of a church or a hall etc.
4 Mission & Extension Fund. Projects where the need exists to teach people skills such as sewing, gardening, reading etc. which a society can't fully fund.
5. Ministerial Students Fund. Used for the training of student ministers.
Once again the Stewardship Commission wishes to thank the congregation for their faithful financial support, without which, we would not have been God's hands and feet in the community.
