SUGGESTED CHANGE TO THE COMMUNION AREA OF THE CHURCH
To improve our worship experience certain changes to the communion area of the church have been suggested.
The idea is:
- To remove the pulpit this will increase the space behind the communion rail by 30%.
- To extend the raised area behind the communion rail towards the pews and to bring the communion rail forward this will further increase the space behind the communion rail and will do away with the step up to the communion rail.
- To build up the area where the worship team is positioned this will make them more visible and improve the actual leading of worship.
- To straighten the communion rail so that it extends to the corner of the organ this will lengthen the communion rail by about 2 metres and remove the need to have to squeeze past the worship team.
The Executive and Leader’s Meeting have approved the plan in principle. Please give some thought to these suggestions and ideas. Please speak to Mike or Alan if you wish to know more about the thinking behind these ideas.
