The Craft Centre at Valley was opened towards the beginning of 2006.

The Centre’s aim is three-fold: Firstly, to provide a place where people can come together to experiment with, and enjoy learning new crafts. Secondly, by using creative activities as a means of therapy for depression sufferers and the like, and thirdly to teach people new crafts thus enabling them to perhaps start their own businesses one day. (Making their own merchandise to sell) We are very grateful to everyone who supports us with wonderful donations of paints, wool, material, clay, tiles, bottles, fins, to name but a few! We do run workshops. In 2006 we had a card making workshop, oil paint glass printing, decoupage clocks, and lots of fabric painting! More workshops are lined up for this year. The idea is to relax and enjoy, and you don’t necessarily have to be artistic or creative. It is amazing what one can do with scraps and bits and pieces! The Craft Centre is open on Monday evenings, Tuesday mornings and Saturday afternoons. We hope that you can join us soon!
