Bikers' Cell

I greet you once again in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The CMA had a very busy end to last year with plenty of ministry opportunities.

We had a Memorial run at the Bikers church in Midrand, where all bikers are invited to come and pay their respects to their friends and fellow bikers who had passed away during the year. There were about 3 000 people who attended, mostly secular bikers. An altar call was held and there were quite a few new recruits for God’s Kingdom.

Then there was the one that most of you have heard about, “The Toy Run”. Once again about 30 000 bikers... wow, the place was packed and everywhere you looked were bikes, leather clad people full of badges and of course toys, plenty of them, People carrying them, some still fastened to bikes even more in massive piles on the floor in one of the halls. I believe that there were about 40 000 teddy bears, not to speak of all the other toys. I know that there were lots of happy children out there during the festive season. It was great to know that we were a part of such an outreach.

The Poison Rally was next, that was the one that we asked our Valley View readers to pray for. We went there to minister and reach the lost, and that we did. Firstly, our thanks for the prayers these rallies are all about Bikers getting together, and there is always plenty of alcohol and drugs about. We could not have done it alone. You prayer warriors were great and we know for a fact that your prayers took us through the weekend. The rally was held at Rustenburg Kloof Resort, and by Friday night there were over 6 000 entries. Still more arrived on Saturday, an estimated 8 500 entries. The coffee tent was set up and the coffee water was boiling, the scene was set, and God did the rest.

We were able to minister to many people during the three days, and best of all we were doing what we like to do. (Riding our Bikes) He sent people to the tent and our work started. We gave bibles away to those who needed them.
We offer the coffee and tea free of charge and peoplej ust give donations if they want to. The monies raised by the donations are then used to purchase bibles that we give away at the rallies.

There was a strong man demonstration held in a marquee tent by a Christian group, and when the show was over, it was great to see so many people get up and move forward when there was an altar call.

We have had a few breakfast runs and reached some more people as we use every opportunity to plant a seed. The past year, I have done about 34 000 km on my bike and there are others that do even greater distances. We do this for our love of motorcycles, but most of all for our love for God.

We have a group in Waverley (called a chapter) which was started in January 2008. We have grown at such a rate, that we have now started a new group in Hatfield. I have been given the privilege of running the group. Our cell group has also grown and soon we will have another biker’s cell. I give all the Glory to God. I am so excited to see what God is doing, and I know that we have lots more to do this year, but with God’s help and the guidance of the Holy Spirit I know we will be fruitful.

I was recently given the opportunity to pray for a lady at the licensing department in Rayton. I went there to take my daughter for her learner’s license test. While sitting on the only bench out in the garden, a very prim and proper lady came to wait for her son who was also there for his test.
She took one look at this “Biker” sitting there and went to stand under the tree a short distance away. I could see that there was no way that she would come and share the bench so I got up and offered her the bench. As she got closer she noticed a big badge on the front of my leather jacket that says “Jesus No: 1”

She asked if we were a Christian group. I said “yes” and we started to chat. She asked what we do at the club, and I told her about the rallies, prayer groups around Pretoria every Saturday before sunrise, etc. She then asked me to pray for her son who was at home ill with a very rare disease.

The Holy Spirit moved me to pray for her right there in front of all those people. I took her hand and we prayed together for her son and her family. When she left, she told me that they as a family always thought that bikers were a bad group and stayed out of their way, and that she will see bikers in a different way from now on. I thank our Father for using me in that way. Be available, submit to God, and He will use you as His hands and feet.

We have further rallies at the end of February and in April. We ask again that you keep us up in prayer for our safety, wisdom and discernment as we go out to these rallies. We trust that God will bless you and your families. Our Prayer for you is that the best of 2008 will be your worst in 2009.
God Bless,
Louis von Allemann
