Activities of Morning W.A.
As usual we have been busy over the last six months.
Three of our members attended the District W.A. Executive workshops at Lyttleton. In spite of the cold weather we continued with our meetings and we had various speakers.
The annual WA service was held on the 12th Aug. We served lunch at West View church for Connexional Meetings. Our members knitted many teddy bears for district meetings here next March for distribution to rape and trauma victims in the Nelspruit area.
Please note we will require accommodation for the delegates to district meetings. If you can help us in this respect please contact Sharon Swart or Jenny Viljoen.
In October we hosted a spring tea to raise funds for district meetings with a hat competition and Hannes serenaded us. We have also had other fund raising events.
In November we had a Christmas tea party at Queenswood Home for the residents and gave each one a small gift and provided entertainment. The year ended with a lunch for the members at Colbyn Bowling Club.
