"Responding To God's Call"

We have just had an extensive series on spiritual warfare. It is important that we remember that while we need to know about and are actively engaged in warfare our focus remains on an awesome God. We need to be constantly growing in our relationship with God (our spirituality) and learning more about him each day.

So, this series focuses entirely on the nature of God. Hopefully it will reinforce your faith and understanding of Him and also help you discover more about this absolutely amazing God we worship.

May the notes and sermons be a blessing to you!

Part 1

Part 2

" Spiritual Warfare"

Why do bad things happen to good people? Why is there so much trouble and strife in the world? Who is responsible for all the bad things that happen and why do they happen?  Why does God not simply put an end to all the suffering?  Does the Devil exist and who is Satan and Lucifer and how did he come to be, what does he do and how does he do it?
Ever asked these questions? I am sure you have and many others. Let's equip ourselves with knowledge that we may have the power of Christ over evil as promised. .

Does Satan Exist
The Origin of Evil
How Satan Works
The (Lack Of) Power of Satan
How we can resist evil/Satan
Prayer versus evil/Satan
Obsession versus Possession
Christians and Spiritual Attack
The Power of God

"If you truly love me..?"

People have a very legalistic view of the Ten Commandments. Legalism does not encourage compliance but challenge - laws are made to be broken. People respond better to what they can or should do, rather than what not, hence, Jesus and the new commandment which is phrased positively.

This series looks at the Ten Commandments is a positive light encouraging rather than phrasing in a negative sense. What are we encouraged to do as a result of our love for God? If we truly love him what will be the practical result in the way we live life?

We have condensed slightly to allow the series to fit into an eight week series with a weeks break.

May the notes and sermons be a blessing to you!

Lent
Lent is a traditional time of self reflection, repentance, and confession. Then we encounter the blood of Christ on Easter Sunday, the wonder and fullness of forgiveness is made concrete for us in the cross.

Fasting of one sort or another is a tool that helps us reflect deeply, a surrender of self even as Christ gave of himeslf completely and a way of keeping focussed. It is deeply spiritual and very powerful tool and I strongly encourage you to spend this time wisely.

The series will help with the journey of self and gaining meaning and perspective. I am also positive that it will encourage you greatly and transform your life, if applied seriously.

God bless you as you embark on this exciting adventure..

Belonging!
This short series is a reminder to us of the importance of community and that we need to belong.  It also encourages us to help others to feel welcome and to become a member of the body of Christ.  What makes you feel welcomed and a part of, if this is not already happening let us know, maybe start a ministry because there are others that have the same needs as you do.
