08-14 March
WELCOME:
If you could change your name, what name would you choose? Why?
WORSHIP:
Sing or listen to “O God, our help in ages past!” or a similar song of choice. Spend time reflecting on the words and then share which ones stand out for you and why?
WORD:
Gen 17: 1-7, 15-19 Romans 4: 13-25 Mark 8: 31-38
1. Circumcision does not confer salvation anymore than baptism does. What then is required? (See Gal 5:6) What does faith mean to you?
2. From v 34-38, what is involved in being a follower of Christ? What is for you, the most difficult aspect and why?
3. In what area of your life do you need to take a lesson from Abraham and focus not on “working” but on “believing”?
4. How has your relationship with Jesus affected your lifestyle? Relationships? Priorities? Politics?
